Our initial project will focus on former Indian migrant workers that worked in Vietnam. We are currently fundraising for the following project:
Returning Indian Migrant Fund
Locations: India and Vietnam
Open Collective Project Page: Coming soon.
This fund is set up by former American, Canadian, French, and Indian staff that worked together at a popular Indian restaurant in Vietnam. The aim of this fund is to help reimburse Indian migrant workers who lost 2-3 months' salary when they were forced out of Vietnam. We also want to help raise funds to assist current Indian staff at the same restaurant pay for the visa, late fees, flight tickets, and 2-3 months' potential loss wages.
This fund aims to target UN SDG Goal 8.7, "Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 end child labour in all its forms."
